Toad in the Hole
Ingridients:
1 Cup All purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup milk 2 tbsp melted butter 2 eggs, beaten 1 tbsp oil (vegetable, olive, I don’t really care) any type and amount of sausage you like
Making batter
- whisk together the flour and salt in a bowl.
- add the milk, melted butter and eggs
- beat until the batter is smooth and has the consistency of whipping cream
- let it sit for 30 mins ~ 1 hour
Saussage
- pre-heat the oven with to 430f
- heat oil in a skillet and brown the saussage
- pour batter over saussage. if your skillet is not oven-safe, put the saussage to a oven-safe container
- bake at 390f about 20 - 30 mins
Onion Gravy
Ingridients:
1 onion 1 garlic clove 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce or any substitue 2 cup beef stock 1/2 tsp sugar Salt&peper for taste 1tbsp oil 1 pinch flour
Steps
- cut onions into slices
- add oil to skillet
- cook onions to golden brown
- cut garlic gloves and add them to the skillet
- add flour, cook and stir
- add sauce and stir
- add beef stock and stir
- stir til how thick you want
