Q&A

The Q&A section in Taobao/Jindong is full of idiots.

Q: How much liquid can this cup contains? A1: Just okay. A2: I bought for my boyfriend. A3: I don’t know.

Just… okay … how much is “okay”? Boyfriend … Are you blind?Did you read the question? Do you have dyslexia? Did your boyfriend help you understand the question? Or is he also an idiot? You don’t know… what’s wrong with you?

It turns out that Taobao users can earn “points” by answering questions no matter the answer’s accuracy. “Points” are used in discounts, so users are doing whatever they can to earn it. It’s ridiculous to have such setting. Even Taobao want to give points, it should be giving by actually helping the customer community instead of giving based on whatever nonsense. I miss Amazon so much. I never knew Taobao/Jindong customers can be so stupid and ignorant.

Digital Payment … again

The driving lesson and practice begin early in the morning. I like to grab breakfast on the way and pay the bill by digital payment. Mobile digital payment is convenient. I should admit that. The transaction happens in the nick of time when I scan the QR code. Digital receipts also follow up and are saved in the app. However, digital payment weakens my sensibility on price and spending money. Once I get used to scanning app, I start to lose track of how much I can afford and spend.

It’s time to keep accounts… again.

Elementary Finale

It’s a hasty and overwhelmed finale. The final season has 13 episodes to conclude the story. Odin Reichenbach, who was the CEO of a technology company, is introduced as the new villain. He filtered the potential criminals from his users by browsing their internet data, such as search history and online posts, and hired other users to eliminate the potential crimes. Odin is the eighth richest man in America and had a powerful influence on government agencies, so Sherlock and Watson asked help from Morland Holmes. Unfortunately, Morland was killed by professional assassins hired by Odin at the end. Sherlock had to pretend to assassin Odin and faked his death. With Watson’s help of secretly changing the crime scene, NYPD arrested Odin. In the final episode, Sherlock secretly came back to New York because Watson received a “gift” from Moriarty who was dead according to her lawyer. Many things were going on at the same time. Marcus was promoted to captain, Watson adopted an Asian boy Arthur, and Moriarty re-took the leader position of the criminal empire. They all poorly squeezed and explained into one episode and rushed to the final ending. Of course, there were many plot twists too. Nevertheless, I felt that the story did not have enough time to explain all plots in the way that the show used to have. Every character’s ending was given but was thrown on audience' face.
